EduCon 2024Stay Hungry Stay Foolish: A Conversation on Teaching for a Lifetime
As we age, teachers invariably face a dilemma: Our youth, which used to tie us so closely to our students and which was vital to our relationships with them, invariably fades. Curricula become stagnant. Ideas that once excited us rebound as hollow echos, and the vitality we know is crucial to the life of the class wanes earlier in the day.
This is not a fiction. It is an inevitability (though certainly heightened by a. bit of hyperbolic description here). It has happened to me as a 30 year veteran. Join this conversation to explore our pasts, presents, and futures as career educators and how we might continue to bring energy and heart to this work, 15, 20, 30 years in.
Conversational Practice

1) Depending upon attendance, a modified version of the "World Cafe Protocol"
2) A modified version of the "Consultancy Protocol" for dealing with dilemmas.
